The Trump administration believes Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had a romantic relationship with Chinese national Alice Huang, according to the Financial Times, which Seeking Alpha cites in its report. American intelligence suggests China's Ministry of State Security may have recruited her as a spy. The information comes from a government memo that U.S. officials wrote earlier this year.

People familiar with the matter say Alice Huang worked as an executive at Megaspeed, a Singapore-based client of Nvidia. U.S. authorities are scrutinizing that company over allegations it smuggled advanced Nvidia chips into China in violation of export controls. The memo went to a small group of senior officials shortly before President Trump's May trip to Beijing to meet Xi Jinping. The White House and CIA declined to comment on the FT's request, and Nvidia also declined to comment.

Days later, three House Republican committee leaders asked the CEO in a letter to attend a closed-door briefing. The letter said: "Recent reports raise significant national security concerns regarding the PRC's access to sensitive U.S. technology and information."
