about newsmetry
editorial policy
who produces newsmetry stories, which rules they follow and how we correct mistakes.
01publisher
newsmetry is a market-news service for traders and analysts. we cover energy, macro and geopolitics and explain how events connect to markets.
02sources
news comes from our aggregation service, which collects reports from news outlets and official sources. every story names the original publisher and links to it.
03use of ai
each item is rewritten by a language model that keeps the facts of the original; the text is automatically checked for verbatim overlap with the source. items that fail are reviewed by an editor.
04methodology
- collection: every 2 minutes we fetch new items from the aggregation service and drop duplicates by url and content.
- screening: a model filters out items with no market angle — sport, crime, science without a market hook.
- clustering: reports from different outlets about one event are merged.
- editing: a model rewrites the item in its own words in russian and english, keeping the facts, numbers and names of the original.
- checks: the text is compared with the source (shared 5-word fragments, verbatim runs outside quotes, length). stories that fail go to an editor.
- publication: the story opens on the website 15 minutes after we found it. the publication date is the original source time.
05corrections
if you spot a mistake, email corrections@newsmetry.xyz with a link to the story. corrected stories receive a new modified date.
06independence
we do not publish paid content as news and do not give investment advice.
