what happened
Seeking Alpha reported that Navitas Semiconductor on Monday introduced a new 24 kW power delivery board that converts 800 V to 12 V. The unit uses GaNFast™ technology and was developed with NVIDIA to support the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem and promote 800 VDC power designs for AI data centers. NVTS shares gained more than 5% in extended trading.
The launch expands Navitas’ lineup of 800 VDC platforms for AI data centers. The company had previously announced a 20 kW board converting 800 V to 6 V, also developed with NVIDIA. The new product follows NVIDIA’s latest 400 mm × 60 mm form factor and can be placed on the computing motherboard as near as possible to the xPUs. Navitas said that positioning helps reduce power-delivery losses while supporting high-power requirements.
Navitas said the product supports the central goal of its Navitas 2.0 transformation: replacing legacy silicon with next-generation GaN and SiC high-power technologies throughout AI infrastructure, from the grid to the xPU. CEO and President Chris Allexandre said the 24 kW design shows how GaNFast™ can remove conversion stages, improve efficiency and power density, and move power closer to the GPU. The board is scheduled for display in the partner exhibition section for the NVIDIA AI Factory MGX Wall during OCP Global Summit 2026.
why it matters
The announcement links Navitas to the expansion of 800 VDC power systems for AI infrastructure and highlights potential demand for GaN and SiC components in that market.
