Indian brokerages name 31 stock ideas for Diwali and Samvat 2083 with up to 52% upside

According to TradingView, four Indian brokerages, including HDFC Securities, Nuvama, PL Capital and Monarch Networth Capital, have published their stock ideas ahead of the Samvat 2083 trading year. The lists cover lenders, banks, defence, pharmaceuticals, IT, metals, capital goods and consumer companies. The selections rest on chart signals, improving fundamentals, sector themes and expectations of an earnings recovery.

HDFC Securities put forward six technical ideas for Muhurat Trading, among them BPCL, HCL Technologies, IIFL Finance and JSW Steel, with potential gains of up to 28% until the next Diwali. Nuvama's technical desk flagged Adani Energy Solutions, Coforge, KDDL, Punjab National Bank and Zydus Lifesciences, citing breakouts and Fibonacci retracements.

PL Capital expects Indian equities to improve but warns that geopolitics, crude oil, inflation, interest rates and foreign investor flows remain key factors to watch. Its eight picks include Bharat Electronics, Britannia Industries, ICICI Bank, Shriram Finance, Blue Star, CESC, Delhivery and Ingersoll-Rand (India). Monarch Networth Capital described Samvat 2082 as a testing year, with sharp corrections in the Nifty 50 and Sensex.
