Ecovyst Lifts Q3 Profit and Raises 2026 Adjusted EBITDA Guidance

Ecovyst, a maker of regenerated and virgin sulfuric acid and sulfur dioxide, reported its third-quarter 2026 results, according to TradingView. Sales from continuing operations reached $308.6 million, up 51% from $204.9 million a year earlier. Net income came in at $18.4 million, compared with $0.2 million in the same quarter of 2025.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 6% to $61.2 million. Most of the sales growth came from passing through higher sulfur costs of about $67 million and from stronger demand from refiners. The company bought back $2.7 million of stock in the quarter and plans to repurchase up to $20 million in the second half of 2026.

Full-year 2026 guidance was lifted: adjusted EBITDA is now expected at $208 million to $212 million, up from $195 million to $207 million, and sales at $1,050 million to $1,070 million.

Two points matter for markets. Management expects high refinery utilization to continue through year-end and sees growing demand for virgin acid in copper mining. It also warns of possible unplanned refinery outages and of customer destocking if sulfur prices fall sharply. Net debt leverage stood at 2.1x after the Calabrian acquisition.
