Vanguard discloses stakes and trades in seven UK-listed companies

The Vanguard Group, Inc. published Form 8.3 disclosures through EQS News on its positions in the shares of seven companies involved in takeover situations. The positions are stated as of 22 October 2026, and the filings were made on 23 October.

The largest stake is in Prologis, at 128,582,977 shares, or 13.53%. Vanguard holds 5.47% of Rotork (44,710,236 shares), 4.80% of Tate & Lyle (21,373,690 shares), 5.71% of DCC (4,876,255 shares), 4.39% of Vesuvius, 3.58% of Spire Healthcare and 2.19% of RHI Magnesita. Most dealings were sales: 7,803 Rotork shares at 4.94 pounds, 3,502 Tate & Lyle shares at 5.64 pounds and 2,499 Spire Healthcare shares at 2.47 pounds. In DCC, Vanguard bought 993 shares at 64.35 pounds and sold 799 at 64.34 pounds.

Filings of this kind are required for holders of at least 1% of a company in a takeover and show how large funds adjust positions during deals. The sales are small relative to the stakes, so individually they rarely move prices. For traders, the terms of the underlying takeover matter more than these routine line items.
