Utssav CZ Gold Jewels plans a 1:1 bonus share issue

Utssav CZ Gold Jewels, an Indian maker, exporter and wholesaler of cubic zirconia and cast gold jewellery, has signed off on a 1:1 bonus share issue, according to Moody's. The move still needs shareholder consent and other regulatory sign-offs.

Eligible holders would receive one new share, with a face value of ₹10, for each share they already own. The issue totals 2,49,98,000 shares, which would lift paid-up capital from ₹25 crore to ₹50 crore and double the share count to 4,99,96,000. Funding would come from the securities premium reserve, free reserves and retained earnings as of March 31, 2026.

The board also proposed raising authorised capital to ₹60 crore, split into 6 crore shares at ₹10 apiece. That step requires shareholder approval and a change to the memorandum. The record date will be disclosed later, and crediting is expected within 60 days of board approval. The stock slipped 0.52% to ₹1,014 on Friday.

Bonus issues bring the company no new money, so they mainly change the number of shares rather than the total value of the company.
