Third Coast Bancshares: third-quarter 2026 profit falls from second quarter

Bank holding company Third Coast Bancshares (NYSE: TCBX) reported its third-quarter 2026 results, according to a release distributed by TradingView. Net income came to $19.0 million, or $0.93 per diluted share, compared with $22.0 million, or $1.08 per share, in the second quarter and $18.1 million, or $1.03 per share, a year earlier. Excluding $3.2 million of acquisition-related expenses, adjusted net income was $21.6 million, or $1.06 per diluted share.

The net interest margin fell to 3.70% from 3.83% in the previous quarter and 4.10% a year earlier. The efficiency ratio rose to 63.10%. Gross loans grew to $5.49 billion, while nonperforming loans totaled $29.0 million. Tangible book value per common share increased to $33.31.

In early October the company agreed to acquire Great Plains Bancshares, the parent of Great Plains National Bank, in an all-stock deal valued at about $239.6 million. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027.
