STMicroelectronics reshuffles top roles, Remi El-Ouazzane becomes chief technology officer

STMicroelectronics has announced a new organizational structure and leadership appointments, according to press releases distributed by Dow Jones Newswires and globenewswire.com. Remi El-Ouazzane is confirmed as president and member of the Executive Committee, overseeing microcontrollers, digital ICs, RF and optical communication products. He will also lead the imaging sensors sub-group and take on the role of chief technology officer, with responsibility for R&D in digital CMOS, advanced packaging, test and system research.

Marco Cassis is also confirmed as president and Executive Committee member, heading analog, power, discrete and MEMS products. While keeping responsibility for company strategy, he will become chief strategic officer, aligning the company's vision with market conditions and looking for growth, partnership and bolt-on acquisition opportunities.

The new structure takes effect on January 1, 2027, with implementation completed by the end of March 2027. The rest of the organization stays unchanged, but the company will adjust its reportable segments from January 1, 2027.
