what happened
GlobeNewswire reported on October 12, 2026, that Navitas introduced a 24 kW direct-current power delivery board developed with NVIDIA. The unit converts 800 VDC straight to 12 VDC in a single stage, removing the intermediate 50 V-to-12 V IBC conversion. It is designed for the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem and next-generation AI data-center power architectures.
The board targets 97% efficiency at full load and delivers more than 2,000 W/in³ of power density. Built in NVIDIA’s 400 mm × 60 mm form factor, it can be placed on the compute motherboard close to the xPUs. The design is intended to reduce power losses, board area and overall delivery complexity while feeding 12 V directly into the voltage regulator module, or VRM.
The primary side uses 16 NV6034 GaNFast™ FETs rated at 650 V and 18 mΩ. They are arranged in a stacked half-bridge topology and use Navitas’ dual-cooled DFN 8 × 8 package. Navitas plans to display the board in the NVIDIA AI Factory MGX Wall partner area during OCP Global Summit 2026. The company previously announced a 20 kW 800 V-to-6 V board developed with NVIDIA.
why it matters
The announcement highlights the shift toward 800 VDC architectures for AI infrastructure and the potential role of GaN and SiC devices in higher-density data-center power systems.
