Moneta Money Bank Raises 2026 Profit Forecast, Skips Special Dividend

Czech lender Moneta Money Bank now expects 2026 net profit of CZK 7.1 billion, up from its earlier outlook of CZK 6.8 billion, according to Reuters, which cited the bank's statement. Third-quarter net profit reached CZK 2.176 billion, a 20% annual gain and above the CZK 1.95 billion forecast in a Reuters poll.

Net interest income came in at CZK 2.789 billion against an expected CZK 2.73 billion, while loan-loss provisions were just CZK 78 million, far below the CZK 175 million analysts had anticipated. Nine-month net profit totalled CZK 5.5 billion, and the loan book expanded 10.4% over the period.

Unlike in the previous two years, the bank will not pay an extraordinary dividend. It pointed to geopolitical uncertainty and renewed inflation pressure, and said its priority is protecting capital and liquidity. High-quality liquid assets fell to 31% of the balance sheet, and CZK 2.6 billion of bonds fall due in January.
