Chugai Pharma's nine-month profit climbs; full-year guidance kept

Japanese drugmaker Chugai Pharmaceutical posted strong results for the first nine months of 2026, according to TradingView. Revenue reached 1,068.1 billion yen, up 17.2% from a year earlier. Operating profit grew 21.6% to 522.6 billion yen, and net profit rose 22.8% to 375.3 billion yen.

Sales inside Japan rose 18.2% to 406.3 billion yen, while overseas sales climbed 11% to 500.5 billion yen. Royalty income also helped, with Hemlibra, Polivy, Vabysmo, Lunsumio and Elevidys named as key contributors. The company started global Phase 3 trials in lung cancer, multiple myeloma, hemophilia A and obesity, even as R&D spending increased.

Chugai left its 2026 forecast untouched, projecting 1,345 billion yen in revenue, 670 billion yen in core operating profit and 485 billion yen in core net income. Roche owns roughly 59.89% of the shares. The stock traded at 6,688 yen, down 3.03%.
