Bitdeer reports $2.9 billion AI cloud backlog and Texas land purchase

Bitdeer has reported AI cloud contracts worth about $2.9 billion and the purchase of a 200-acre site in Rockdale, Texas, according to theenergymag.com. In Johor Bahru, Malaysia, customers committed to more than 70% of the 21.7 MW A201 data center. The facility is due to go live in April 2027, and the agreements are expected to bring in over $1.7 billion in revenue over five years.

Bitdeer also signed a 16-year lease with Volta for its Tydal campus in Norway. The total value is $4.7 billion, rising to $8.0 billion if an eight-year extension is exercised.

In September, the company's mining operations produced 1,355 bitcoins, up 200% from a year earlier. Its self-mining hash rate reached 82.3 EH/s, while co-mining with third-party data centers added 28.7 EH/s. Bitdeer will move its infrastructure updates to a quarterly schedule, with the next one released alongside its third-quarter results.
